Note to Readers: GOSA Launches New Version of Website
GROTON — The Groton Open Space Association has launched a new version of its website, which started in March 2002.
Readers should find the new WordPress system easy to navigate after brief familiarization. We have not included any special instructions because the system is intuitive.
Over the next few weeks, all articles that appeared on the old version of the site will become available on the new one. Meanwhile, please contact us at gosamail@gmail.com if you need something you can’t find.
We’d welcome any technical or editorial comments — critical or otherwise. Please send them to the address above. News stories also provide spaces at the end for comment by readers.
The updated system allows for more flexible use of photos, including slide shows, and –in time — insertion of sound and video. As part of the change, long-static background editorial material on GOSA has been updated.
GOSA thanks John Waller of Groton, who designed and programmed the new site with patience and skill. Whatever problems readers may encounter certainly represent operating errors attributable to the news editor, whose first word-processing system was called Underwood. We’d also like to thank again Suzanne Furlong Kiggins, who took us into the electronic age eight years ago by creating and programming GOSA’s fine first website using Dreamweaver.
